Job Title: Forklift Spare Parts Store In-Charge
Department: Spare Parts / Warehouse
Reporting To: Service Manager / Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Purpose:
To efficiently manage the inventory, procurement, issuance, and storage of forklift spare parts,
ensuring accurate stock levels, proper documentation, and timely availability of parts to support
service and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
? Inventory Management:
o Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels of forklift spare parts.
o Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
o Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete items.
? Receiving & Issuance:
o Receive incoming spare parts, inspect for accuracy and damage.
o Tag and store items in designated areas with proper labeling.
o Issue parts based on service team/job card requests and maintain accurate records.
? Procurement & Coordination:
o Coordinate with the procurement team/suppliers for order follow-ups.
o Track backorders and ensure timely replenishment of critical items.
o Suggest reordering levels based on consumption patterns.
? Documentation & System Updates:
o Maintain up-to-date inventory records in ERP or inventory management system.
o Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports as required (stock status, movement
reports, etc.).
o Ensure proper documentation of GRN (Goods Receipt Note), issue vouchers, and
return notes.
? Safety & Housekeeping:
o Ensure proper storage practices to avoid damage, leakage, or safety hazards.
o Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
o Comply with health and safety standards.
? Team Support:
o Assist mechanics/technicians in identifying required parts.
o Provide technical input on part numbers, alternates, or availability when needed.
o Train junior store assistants or helpers when applicable.
Requirements:
? Proven experience in a warehouse or parts store role, preferably in forklift or heavy
equipment industry.
? Good knowledge of forklift parts, brands, and part identification methods.
? Familiarity with inventory software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle, or customized ERP).
? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
? Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, email, etc.).
? Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
? Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical/Automotive discipline is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
? Knowledge of brands like Toyota, Nissan, Hyster, Caterpillar, or Komatsu forklifts.
? Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
? Forklift operation license (optional, but advantageous).
